If I gave a shit enough I could find it, I have a small library on various subjects. Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and just plain strange weapons mostly. Also quite a few on some of the best scientists of the 20th century. And hey dumbass, if you want to buy a $40 hardware store mask, I'd like to video tape your death for a documentary I'm working on. It's called Stupid Shits That Can't Read and Don't Know Their Ass From a Hole in the Wall. It's a good movie to grab a case of beer and a bucket of pop corn and watch with the whole family. Go have fun with your anthrax, and good luck finding some in this country where you aren't stopped by guys with big guns. Better get some tabi boots.

Whatever you may think about the military, you've gotta hand it to them they are pretty organized. There's no way they left anthrax just sitting around, I'm sure whatever was there was taken out when the place was abandoned.

You know, they do make a vaccine for anthrax if your really that interested in the place and really think its a risk. http://www.anthrax.osd.mil/

I think you kinda missed the point. I'd rather fall of the roof of a brewery than die of anthrax or Marburg, or some fucked up painful shit that liquifies your guts, and if you think there isn't any of that shit doesn't exist, you need a beer too.

Anyway... Antrax is NOT to be f-ed with! I would look in the deeds and the library to figure out what exactly the place was used for...

Yeah? So i said it. Do you really think they really make all they did public knowledge? It may never have been even documented at all. If it's a DOD site anything goes.

I dont think they would just leave Anthrax laying around anywhere that one could crawl under a fence and access it, not in today's climate. And a $40 Home Depot mask isnt gonna be worth a darn if you run into Anthrax. The building is probably safe to enter, but keep in mind if there was anything there and you get caught entering, they very well may try to charge you with more than a simple B&E... they arent playing around these days when it comes to that stuff.

Did you ever get in or get some better info on the place? I'd be interested in what you found... Zionsville doesn't seem to be a place one would expect to find a chem weapons plant.

Yeah they cleaned up Hanford for the same reason. It's safe there now, just like all those other sites. They also recently went out, and found all the undetonated land/water mines ever laid and disarmed them. All the bombs that never exploded too. Everything is safe.

Yeah Hanford is a picnic area and so is Rocky Flats. But the Rocky Mountain Aresenal actually is pretty clean, they spent a shit ton of money on that one. But as for the first two places mentioned, some things just don't scrub off.

You mean you can't just vacuum up the nasty plutonium dust? There been so many accidents it's like The Three Stooges were in charge of the nuclear weapons program. Hell they even use the "hide it under the carpet" clean up technic.
These are just the ones we know about, and they know about. You don't even want to know how many tens/hundreds of thousands of Curies are gently warmer the Atlantic ocean within 500 miles or less of our shoreline from ditched military fuck ups. There have been more than one large plutonium releases into US communities. Remember to wipe your feet...

It's OK though because you just cough it up eventually, it's not really bad like asbestos. Plus after a while it mutates eventually into lead. It's all good.

US government fuck ups pale in comparison to the stuff that goes down in Russia. Do some searches on Tomsk-7 and Mayak Chemical Combine. Chain reaction criticality accidents, accidentally releasing high level waste, intentionally releasing radioactive waste, you name it the Russians have done it more than once. The Russians whole "closed loop" system is also what has everyone so worried about radioactive material getting in the wrong hands too. Good times..

I remember that link, and also there is this lake in Russia that is super contaminated. I forget the name, but read a scientific journal on it, I'd have to look it up when I get home.

okay folks here is the deal, when a medical company or a military research group leaves a building it is sanitized from floor to ceiling with bleach and neutral cleaner, not to mention it is tented and fogged for other things.

You have more risk of getting an infection of herpes there than one from bio-engineered junk....anthrax included.

But still, like they said, check with the library for deeds on the building and talk to the local biz registry, they HAVE to classify if they use anything radioactive/chemical/medical/microbal, its a federal law.

Plus, if they did, your local newspaper would have articles on that somewhere,
check with your local paper and see, just tell them you are doing research on it.

That has always worked for me.

(I am by no means an expert in bio-chem, i am however, and expert in federal cleaning codes and the likes, as i am a custodian for a school, and yeah....I had to get certified for it, I learned that stuff in OSHA certification classes).

Well then you'd know the federal government is the last to clean anything. There are still practice bombing ranges with UXO from WWII out west. Explain Rocky Flats. I'm not saying they never do it, it just takes forever and a day.

War is hell. Who says they have to clean it up if they don't remember where it is?
