| | | Cool, sounds like a fun trip so far! It must be a great learning experience, I take a lot of that stuff for granted having grown up on the water, and it's interesting to see what other people make of it. You probably saw a lot of drains going through MSP, shoulda stopped to check some out We did a canoe trip between Minneapolis and St. Paul a while ago and it took all day with the distractions along the way. Even got hassled by the water police for having pirate flags and being out just before dark. The 8 storey something sounds like Island Station: http://freak.minim...ities/island/1.jpg It's an old coal-fired power plant from the 20s that's been turned into artist lofts and then re-abandoned, and may become yuppie wanker housing if the city can find a developer. | | | It was Island Station, I saw their pics Monday night. We all got our pictures taken by the huge fuckin 6-pack. Had a few beers and woke up the whole marina when I left just after midnight on the bike. It sounds like a hell of a trip so far and don't forget to bring that bottle of Jager back. Have fun with the cheap booze ya lucky bunch a fuckers. Arrrrrrr!
I drink gasoline for breakfeast and beer for dinner! Any problem can be licked with a case of beer and a few sticks of dynamite. Strategic Beer Command ruling the desert since 1995 http://www.strategic-beer-command.com |

| | | wow, lots of envy i see. well, consider the following: prunes and tuna for breakfast, noodles and beans for dinner, sunflower seeds for lunch. no tink tinking of ice cubes. bare feet all the time, cuts, bruises, scrapes, sand in the ears and cramped living quarters. river baths, river laundry, river clams. 3.2 miles to the gallon, waiting out storms under a wind flapped tarp on an island. living it is a little grueling, but the sunsets are gorgeous, we share the islands with fire flies alone and it's not work. we're the trashiest boat on the mississippi river in 670 miles, but are the envy of town folk whose eyes go misty when we tell them we're going all the way. meeting up with junkyard in la crosse was way cool and caver was kind enough to take us to mine tunnels and to see some damn good blues in st. louis! so far so good. the trash barge
some dudes we met with a huge engine...that thing flew
big ass fire
future yuppie wanker housing
where the wankers will live, maybe they'll leave an exposed beam or two for that edgy industrial feel
ps: natxtron...would love to meet up...very limited internet access, get in touch...407-902-7254. [last edit 7/2/2006 11:05 PM by sharon - edited 1 times]
