| | | Posted by Boffo Took a few new explorers to Hearn today, 4 fairly unprepared girls. Went better than I expected for a weekday in the mid day. Besides a strange amount of construction lighting on the inside the building was pretty quiet for a weekday. Though we didn't stick around too long, I didn't like how there was half a dozen cars parked out by the security shack and all the lights on just didn't give me a good vibe.... and we totally saw 2 coyotes in the field!

the lighting, i think, is from a press conference they held there yesterday about the redevelopment.

| | | On the lines of Hearn, this article gives you a good summary of the proposed plan and the general timeline they are working with. Along with issues at the old Hearn building. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20060223.POWER23/TPStory/TPNational/ "backers of a new power plant on the waterfront remain confident of a start to construction this August." Which may mean bye-bye to hearn and its current accessibility...

| | | It's depressing to hear that we'll probably lose Hearn and Lakeview, but on a positive note, construction of a new facility could make for one helluva construction site exploration. I'm talking at night
