You talk like you're older than me or know something. It's just common sense not to discuss entrances. And just look at that place, there are doors that are wide open. That is exactly how places get trashed or locked down even tighter. One of the reasons some of us don't even post about some of the places we've been. Some are still pristine and as elitest as that sounds, it seems to be the only way. If you get some decent places under your belt, you should talk to Slim Jim and ask to be added to the Wisconsin private board, it is pretty dead lately and since it's private, a bit more can be discussed.

You get to be a full member either by blowing someone or not acting like a kid, not the other way around. Don't worry, you're not the only one who posts entrances and stupid stuff like that. Everyone in your shoes gets treated the same way usually. I guess it irritates me more since the place you mentioned is in my backyard. There are other locations in Milwaukee that haven't been talked about much because they are not trashed yet like P&V. I have seen first hand what posts like that do to places, and yes it pisses people off, lots of people. You can PM people with info like that if you trust them not to destroy shit, it is allowed. Quit acting like a kid and use your head, you'll make alot of friends here and maybe even some day get to see the cool stuff.

Hello. Long time fan of reading and viewing UE missions...Been in a few empty/abandoned places, mostly factories in the area that were being torn down.. But now I want to get into group missions, so to speak ... Are there any groups that meet up and do this in the Fox Valley/Milwaukee area? Please e-mail me at [email protected]
I also know of a few places in the fox valley that are still accessable... Please e-mail me for more info...

Alright everybody, drop your tacos or I'll blow your brains out

Hey all. I stumbled across this thread while looking for info. on abandoned bldgs. etc. and thought I'd share my experience with Phizer & Vogel. For a few years I worked for a demolition/salvage company and was payed to explore many abandoned bldgs. as part of my job. While I had no legitimate reason for bieng in P&V, my employer wanted me to get some information on the DL. (These covert information gathering missions were somewhat common.) I and a coworker parked in plain view, walked into an obvious entrence, and spent around six hours thoroughly walking around the facility taking inventory of wood beams, steel etc. and didn't see or hear anyone all day. The floors were all solid and in most areas a flashlight wasn't needed. There was no sign of squatters/residents and I think the place is too poluted for may critters to survive. In other words, it is a relatively safe, easy, and interesting place to explore. There are some really cool sights in there (including the foot molds). The place is huge and laberynthne; if you here someone, just hide until they clear out. Or better yet just act like you're supposed to be there. You'd be amazed what you can get away with in a hard hat.

Same fate as the MCFI. I guess property value in the area skyrocketed after the freeway got removed.

Come to think of it, every abandoned building I've explored in Milwaukee has been demolished, or is in the process of being redeveloped or demolished.

This factory is already leveled, but the shipping/receiving building is still intact and standing. But not for long. Milwaukee is on a roll with this stuff.

if i'm thinking of the right place, and i'm pretty sure i am, there sure isn't much left to get into. 3 small buildings. originally there was 28? something like that. i totally missed out on it, but there's some good pictures of the complex in its full glory to be found on the internet.

very true, the ADM plant is officially shut down. I've been by there many times and it does look like there might be a way in on the north side of the silos. Last time I drove by I saw a number of construction vehicles and equipment parked there like they were about to demolish the buildings. I believe that site is on the schedule for demolishing and redevelopment by West Milwaukee. The more interesting part of the area is the old Hotpoint Factory about 2 blocks further south on the west side of 43rd street. Thats on my list of checking out.

to be continued...

So, yeah, just wanted to let everyone know Hot Point and ADM are completely gone. Just open pits. My office is very nearby, so I got to watch much of it come down...very cool. But, you should probably be glad you didn't get to see HotPoint - it was and still is polluted as all get-out. The soil is going to need tons of remediation from spilling/burying of some of the nasty chemicals they used to use for insulation in many of their products.

Icky.
