Jester - I am on 3 other forums that do alot better, and 2 that do lot worse.

And you find the time to bitch this much here, when you didn't even see what it was in the first place ? Amazing.

Ednothing - That was probably the best thing that could have been done. It's good to see that change. I honestly wasnt mad at you

It's all good. I blame the nicotine addiction. I never get mad at anyone on here. Except for that one guy.

So it comes down to having a cigarette or banning mark...

Do both and write off the rest of the day, load a bowl and watch cartoons till bedtime and start fresh tomorrow.

No - please. Get started. I would like to know what flaming I did on the other thread. That way, I know what not to do next time.

C.

Your "reply(this word was stuckthrough)" rant only proved the argument for why you should have your account closed.

it's here for the contributors. But if you're a contributor AND a selfish little troll whelp,

Maybe its just me but isnt that basicly the same line you accused me of walking? However I might be livid right now and not thinking straight.

Also can you tell me what happened to sciecer? (I think thats his name) Maybe explain why he is temporally banned. I'd like to here your side before I read his.

I'll be out for the next day or two. I'll calm down hopefully and be more civil, and we can finish this.

He isn't tempbanned anymore. That was all my fault actually (yet again). Somehow, I accidentally tempbanned two people on here. How, I don't know, since I wasn't anywhere near their accounts. It's been fixed.

Ahhh ok. That happens. You might want to email him and explain whatever, he is pretty upset as well.

If I started flaming though I should be banned as well as anyone else.

Lastly let me define for you. YES I know why he fucking said he deleted the post. However I dont know what made him do that.

What makes you think you're entitled for that depth of an explanation?

You're not.

Now give this shit a rest. Please.

Yeah, once I found out I felt pretty bad. I feel even worse now since I guess he considers it as some sort of censorship for his viewpoint.

I didn't say this.

My comment about how his rant only proved the point about why his account should be closed isn't flaming, it was a fact. Now, if I had called him a fucking idiot and a cocksucker or something like that, you'd have a point. I didn't unduely insult him, I didn't insult his faith, race, gender, creed, country of origin... nothing.

If you get your facts straight before arguing a point, you might have an easier job of it.

If I can interrupt this flurry of redundancy to ask this question...

If someone is wearing an animal suit (bear, bunny rabbit or what have you), and someone pours a cup of semen on his back, is that animal abuse? Or just plain abuse.

The point is, LOL INTERNETS!@$% No matter what someone says or does on an internet forum, it doesn't matter at all. Instead of hitting "Reply", take a walk. People will forget about whatever it was you were talking about, because in THE INTERNET, short attention spans are the rule.

Thank you for reading this nonsense. Fubster: OUT.

Sometimes, you need to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don't know what your rights are, or who it is you're talking to. Then, on your way out, slam the door.

I learned a long time ago, many forums come and gone - you can't be happy all the time. Lighten up, don't take things so personally. I moderated a forum years ago where things would get to the point of serious physical threats and utter craziness. But then there would be an expo of sorts and everyone would go get drunk together. I believe in letting people say what they have to say, to a point. Don't keep repeating, but get it out and let people discuss it. Don't get too pissed and stay friends tomorrow, ain't that hard you know...

While pissed, if it is a mistake, it can slide. I think in the future, to prevent this from happening, e-mail them a reason (since an e-mail is required to sign up, everyone has one) why they have been tempbanned. It would solve a lot of confusion...

I have seen several people in the last couple months get mad at posts disappearing and unfair moderation. It was usually one guy acting up doing something stupid saying something wrong. It seems like the new guy doesnt get a fair break, while the locals can do anything.

One thing I don't understand, is that an entire thread on political discussion (which is allowed under the 'Other' category, so it is not in violation) gets deleted, but two threads from DjDrew on his explorations are allowed to remain intact, despite obvious flaming from multiple people. IMO, those threads should be reopened, the offending posts deleted, and the writers of said offensive posts tempbanned or given warnings.

In some cases, those types of threads just don't get viewed by mods. If you see a situation in which you think some sort of moderation should step in, contact a moderator through a PM and give them a link to the thread. We are only so many people, and sometimes some threads slip through the cracks.

Well, they were locked. What I meant was that the posts were so offensive they should have been removed.

Not that I don't think he is coming back but oh well.

Again, if you think that should be warranted, let a mod know. I'm sure there's a few of us around here who's delete finger is getting itchy (looks at Shane and Servo).

To bad about DjDrew... I think I just gave him full membership.

I don't even know where this discussion is going, but I thought I'd make something very clear before I lock the thread.

It is impossible for a post to "disappear" on UER. Unlike other forums where, once a post is deleted, it's gone forever, on UER the posts are kept indefinetly. In addition, all moderators can see deleted posts and threads as if they were still there.

So, while on other forums it may be easier for some rogue moderator to delete the occaisional post and have nobody notice, on UER, all of the mods would immediatly notice, and if there was no obvious reason or posted explanation, they would either undelete it or begin a discussion in the Admin board.

So, I can assure you: If your post / thread is deleted, there is a damn good reason for it. If it was deleted accidently, the accident will be discovered quickly.
