Great adds. Wished they hadn't put that damned yellow tape at the bottom of the shop dome stairs. Cool shot from the top down.

I had my opportunity today - was definitely worthwhile! However, they had someone tailing us for the majority of the tour and making sure we stay with the group...I kept lagging behind to ensure I got people-free shots.

Definitely some interesting stories from the aboriginal advocate correctional officer we had as a tour guide, and he was quite friendly.

Great pics everyone!!!!

I also toured the prison yesterday guided by the Aboriginal advocate officer. He was amazing! All the gritty and brutal day to day details. A very sharp contrast to my tour a couple weeks back guided by a former warden. She remained very political about everything and really made life at KP sound like gumdrops and leprechauns. Cool to get both sides though.

Tickets are on sale at habitat.ca. Site has been crashing and had a lot of problems for the last two days, but last I checked there was still this Friday and a few next week available. They are supposed to release more for the last week at a later time.

It's getting harder to access KP for a weekend tour. Weekdays are out for me, but still trying to get in, since I live in the same city.

Tickets sell out in a heartbeat and they were going to allow former staff members to bring in four guests for a free tour and it was cut short due to an overwhelming response for it.

No kidding. They went on sale at 4pm Monday... got home and on the site at 4:02 and was locked out of all weekend tours already.

They called us to reschedule originally since they oversold tickets. We had originally had our tour on the 3rd but they rescheduled us to the 16th.

It took us 5 hours on the first release to get tickets. Neither I, nor my dad, could get the "add tickets" button to work. It was a giant disaster, all over the place for the first round. I took a peek out of curiosity at ticketmaster when they went on sale again, everything worked nicely!

I'd think that at least another charity or two will pick this up, maybe in the spring when it gets a bit warmer?
