|  | | | Sitting on the grounds of a mostly abandoned fort, this VA hospital has been rotting since 2002. It closed after 59 years of serving those who fought for this country. There was a fire that destroyed the lobby in 2011, and other than that the building has been pulled apart by scrappers. It was still a cool place to walk around in though. I also really enjoyed being kicked out by a 70 year old cop, that was something else.

Lol again with this? I use due discretion in including exteriors. This place is messed up enough where I don't care. You said this about that massacred restaurant out on long island that kppc dude posted as well. Get over it man.

Well, there was one cop driving an RC car around in the parking lot (yeah, while he was on duty) who watched us walk across a window while his buddy circled the building, moving from hiding spot to hiding spot. We exited the building, not to concerned with him. When he saw my girlfriend and buddy on the sidewalk, he started beeping at them and telling them they had to leave. Then he saw my camera, and he got mad. He starts saying "You can't take pictures here! This is federal property!" So I sarcastically pretended to delete my pictures, then waved the camera at him and said "They're gone!"

It happens. And yeah thats really weird. I'm sure most of these VA hospitals are similar though.

I always carry a spare card and change it before leaving the building. Great shots, I really liked numbers four and seven. That elevator shot was fantastic, nice work!
