Yea. Good day to explore the top first and end up down in the basement. There are some floor plan maps here for the Googly challenged: http://www.packrat...el/prestonmaps.htm The person from that site went on a photographer day and has some things to say about where the people with models set up. Edit: 93f there at 4pm today. High forecast tomorrow is 94f. Probably no AC in the old joint, eh? [last edit 9/14/2012 11:15 PM by FastEddy - edited 1 times]

Yikes! The forecast I'm looking at says 96°F tomorrow at 4 PM. But humidity's not so high so should be OKAY.

I've been our there a few times, once for the last photographers day. http://www.uer.ca/...=101530&currpage=1 It's loads of fun, but pack your patience cause some of the photographers with models act rather self entitled. I can't tell you how many people walked through my shots or I would enter a room where they left all their lighting and gear in the way. Also, no running toilets or water on site (porta-potties is it) so be prepared.

| | | Thanks for the link with the floorplans! It was also interesting to read about the ghost stories, as I'm also sorta in to that stuff and might bring a ghosthunting tool or two. It'd be neat to see the old cemetery as well, and find Samuel Goins's grave. Here's to hoping it won't be too hot or crowded, I'm so excited for this event!

| | | That was a very long, very fun day. We didn't show up for the after party, but ended up doing a night explore out in the dark part of Stockton near the river... the bar we found was pretty empty. I personally only had a couple photographers in my way. No biggie. I'm patient, and most were patient with me as well. Shooting with a combo of my cell phone (5MP) and my old point 'n shoot which is on it's last legs (4.1MP) with a really squishy battery. Will have to sort through the pics and see if I got anything worth posting. Definitely awesome getting to meet more explorers. It's always an interesting group when we get together. Many more fun times to be had. BTW: What happened to Salinas? I guess he "was there", surfing street view from his couch.
