Siper........ We really have to get together so you can give me a tutorial on some fo your HDR techniques. Every once in awhile I catch one that I think is over done for my taste, but its far and few between. And you have mastered getting rid of all the common things such as the halos that tend to ruin the shots in HDR. Good work man!

I'd be more than happy to, bro. Shoot me an e-mail any time you want me review an image and/or how-to do [fill in the blank]. I'm not a master by any means, but I've tinkered with many aspects of photography.

Great shots! 7D is a good body Although, itching for a 5D MkII as a second body, now that people are dumping them for the 5D MkIII.

I am having the same desires you are having. Been seriously considering getting the 5D mkII due to the price drop. I need that full frame!

Nice!

Did you guys make it all the way down the southern tower? We withdrew about 1/3 of the way in because a storm was coming in and every piece of sheetmetal started shifting in the gale-force winds. We figured we didn't want to die from being sliced in half by a piece of falling sheet steel. The bent (and corroded) catwalk segments gave us a bit of pause too.

We found the flooded basement. Wonder if anybody else found that.

The south towers stairs are broken completely off after you go about four rooms down. Yes we found the basement and no we didn't go into it. I actually have alot of photos to post from my night scout that my brother (onlyfootsteps) and I did before our trip out with rescueme. I'm just being lazy but here's a couple! My brother and I cleared the whole building just about in the DARK

PS sorry about some of the grainy photos I didn't have time to play with my iso settings while being a ninja

Also warning there's a photo of a dead pigeon and creepy euro porn

When I visited we went all the way through both towers from top to bottom.

If the stairs inside the south tower are gone near the top of that tower, you could climb into the bottom of that tower through the opening just above the elephant shown in my photos. That's the alternative to the sketchy sky walk from the top. Be warned that the elephant approach takes you onto a shaky-looking improvised ladder but at least it's not 8 stories up in the air.

I'm surprised to hear that someone is still living in there. We found his bedroom(s) but I didn't actually get the sense that there was still anyone living in there. He wasn't home when I visited.

We never actually ran into anyone, but later on in our explore I looked over at onlyfootsteps and said

R: "Shhhh, did you hear that?"

O: "Yeah, wtf was that?"

R: "Someone is downstairs, I heard him yelling"

We didn't take any chances with running into someone high on drugs so our group ran across the catwalk into the other tower.

EVERYONE be careful and watch your footing, even the plywood on the upper floors can be deceiving.

The flooded basement was pretty interesting, it is completely flooded no joke. I took the ladder down to the water level and looked down the length of the basement. pretty deep, someone should bring a raft and put it down there.....

I can't wait to go back!!!!

Also please be careful people. When my brother and I cleared the whole building at night we skipped the second to last room in the first tower and instead went to the very top. We found a swept out area and whatnot. The creepy thing is that when we left and got to the drawbridge we noticed the top room of the building was now lit up pretty bright and it wasn't the moons reflection. I just tried to shrug it off and make up some ninja alien excuse however when I went with rescueme we found the whole upstairs room now covered in teacandles. This confirms that someone was indeed in the building with us the whole time. We just luckily avoided them by most likely skipping the 2nd to last room which has some big machinery that makes it hard to pass through but opens up to a big space and the person was most likely hiding in here. Then once we left they quickly went to smoking their meth with teacandles as they couldn't have went up 20 flights of stairs in that time

during the day with the combination of the wind and size of the two buildings its really hard to figure out if people are above or below you, I'm glad we went in a group of 6 though. definitely would have helped to overpower a crazy. .

So I went here last night with Bonnie (not Clyde) and insainly sound. There's a very good chance there was someone living in the far building, through the opening above the elephant with all the oil around it. Unfortunately, while we were exploring the silos, someone else explored the passenger seat of insainly's ride. I think only his GPS was stolen, but there's a lot of broken glass. Sorry 'bout your luck, but thanks for taking me out. Here's some of my pics. I'd like to remind you all that I am not a photographer. These were taken with my water and shock proof utilitarian point and shoot. I take pictures for memories, and to show others what I've seen. I leave the artistic part to those with a knack for it.

That water and the air above it was so rank. Bring back pictures from the raft, I'd love to see them.

Knowledge is the only asset no one can take from you. It is the most powerful and most valuable thing you can own. Everyone knows experience >= education. Knowledge is a weapon, and a tool, and a key. Knowledge leads to wisdom, and open mindedness. Knowledge is free, but has incredible value.
