Trying to post a pic of inside the gun emplacement but it's not working, hence the edits... I give up.

A quick stop during the flood into a block being demolished. Not much to see as everything had been gutted. The house was tiny, and was the only one still standing in the block (plus it's separate garage). The flood put the demolition on hold long enough for me to take a look. One of the other houses

The stairwell was definitely not designed for tall people, I almost had to squat just to get down the stairs.
View from the second floor, looking at the garage.
Kitchen tiling, everything else had been torn out.
Anyone want some bedding?

Took the new wheels for a spin up to Britannia. Gate at the top of Copper Rd. was closed and there was no way my tires could handle the FSR to the top of the mountain, but I got a nice shot next to the old condensers:

the sapper/germ combo is a force to be reckoned with.

Can you go back and adjust "park maintenance" to "pork maintenance"?
|
|
Maintenance work leaves doors open to places you normally can't get to easily. This is the parkade of a downtown high-rise after more than seven days of pumping groundwater out.

My arms bitched out halfway up the thing from trying to lug two zoom lenses and a tripod though, gotta go back with a lighter setup and summit the fucker.

That must of been fun to explore.

Interesting. I was hoping to see more of the cleanup photos from SAB in this thread.

It was interesting, but rather short. Being a parkade there wasn't too much to it. All of the storage rooms in the bottom levels though had layers of 'mud' covering everything in them, despite being behind a closed door. Unfortunately the elevators don't work and the only stairwell in the parkade exits right out into the main lobby where the security guard is sitting checking names. Couldn't get up past the parkade on that visit.

I wish I had more time to shoot a lot more of the cleanup and havoc the flood caused, but because of the flood I'm working lots of OT. ~*~ Pretty much any electrical boxes in the parkade have been disassembled.
The outlet shouldn't look like that, considering how new the building is. The part that made me take a picture was the steady stream of water coming out of the wall...
A view from the roof of the other half of the building.
