Why does everyone thing EVERY Beetle with a sunroof is a Sun Bug? Sun Bugs were a special edition, '74 only car painted harvest gold, with a sunroof (or convertible), chestnut brown interior, woodgrain dash panels and Lemmerz sport wheels. Also, that sunvisor overhang piece over the windshield of this car looks like shit.

http://ontario.kij...W0QQAdIdZ390660951

NO.

http://ontario.kij...W0QQAdIdZ389953083

IT'S NOT A FUCKING SUN BUG. But I like the color.

http://ontario.kij...W0QQAdIdZ388969491

They're asking too much for it, it's been on the market for a couple of months. Nice car, though.

i can tell by looking at the heads that it's not a fucking Cleveland. A 351 was MASSIVE from head to head. that's an itsy bitsy 351 Windsor. Anyone that gives that idiot 5k for that car is a moron that deserves to get taken.

holy shit... not only is it a Firenza, but a fucking Firenza Hatchback. It was the Oldsmobile version of the Cavalier... a little more touring than the Sunbird, a little less velour-y than the Skyhawk. That is a rare car indeed. It should be a 1.8L OHC 4-cylinder (referred to as the "brazilian" in J-body circles).

LUST!!!

Is it just me or is that body the same as the x-11 citation?

no, other than it's a hatchback.
the Citation was X-body (which was closely related to the A-body). In fact, service manuals group the Citation/Phoenix/Omega/Skylark with the A-body (Celebrity/6000/Ciera/Century). This car is a J-body. When the car was first introduced, it was typical GM Alphabet-car. Each division got a version with different styling and trim that matched the level of the division. The ultimate expression of that flawed thinking was probably the Cadillac Cimarron, although that car commands somewhat of a cult fanbase. The Buick Skyhawk and Oldsmobile Firenza were such low volume cars they are hard to find and were gone after 88 when the J-body got a facelift into the Gen 2. I believe that the Firenza carried on in 88 as the last of the 1st Generation bodystyle and did not return in 89. Come to think of it, the RWD Cutlass was also in the same boat. (for years, I had the 1988 Oldsmobile full-line brochure, but like some many other things, it got tossed or lost).

Today, I learned. Thanks. I just thought that long triangular rear side window looked like the window on the x-11.

There's actually a 2 door Skyhawk just up the road from me, it's trashed and rusted out but still someone's daily driver. It's been hit hard in front of the passenger rear wheel though, so it's never going to get saved.

If I think about it, I'll get a picture on the way home.
