This person made me feel better about myself

Short story, two gorgeous retarded girls in a new toyota pulled into my parking lot as I was getting into my car and one was crying because her car was 'broken'
She was leaking fluid and panicked. I smelled the fluid, it was water. Told her it was her air conditioning and to take a chill pill. She continued to sit in the parking lot for forty five minutes and stop every person who pulled into the lot to ask what was wrong with her car. She kept saying she drove into a curb and it made it start leaking. One guy burst out laughing right in her face and told her to read a manual or two.
I am so thankful my grandfather taught me SOMETHING about cars.

/story. commence lulz now. thought I'd share my weekend with you all.

The only other water that could leak should be antifreeze flavored, unless they REALLY suck at cars.

my brother ran over a curb two weeks ago and cracked his fuel line.
That was interesting.

At the apartment complex when I was making my rounds, I see two Subarus turn into the complex. Both of them stop and then both at the same time try to parallel park along the curb in the turnaround. I watch them back right into each other like a mirror except one of the cars actually goes over the curb and gets hung up because of the lovely super thin tires and wheels.

The drivers get out of their cars and they were both women wearing everything from Abercrombie & Fitch in size XXS and all that jazz (basically the people the Samurai sees driving VWs except female). Both start freaking out and the one who is stuck over the curb starts yelling kind of slurred "I think I blew out all my tires!" Both of them now get super freaked out so I rush over there and try to calm them do so I can help them out. But of course, they won't listen because they were pretty sure they blew out all their tires instead of ME who saw them. At this point, I realized they were pretty drunk from the strong smell of the remains of body shots so I had to call in Clackamas County Sheriff.

Yup. 4 deputies showed up who both told me they failed the DUI test with flying colors.

Though these women I don't think were not that bright in the first place.

Hmm. Reminds me of a sad story, two women here in Winnipeg were driving identical vehicles, wearing the same clothes, were the same age, had almost the same name, took the same major in university, were basically identical. They crashed head on and killed each other. Freaky coincidence if you ask me.

That reminds me of a funny story. I used to have a silver Mazda 626. I came out of the store one day, (was parked right in front) opened the drivers door, hopped in and went to start the car. No go. I'm like wtf, getting angry
i glance to my right and what do I see... a silver Mazda 626. Identical rides parked side by side, i got in the wrong one. The other owner was laughing as i got out of his car when he was coming out of the store

Funny story- I did that at work yesterday. I had a work order for to do the power steering motor recall on a blue Cobalt. Got into the blue Cobalt in the lot out back, pulled it in, started removing the motor, and my co-worker said "I just did the recall on that car yesterday". (It was a pretty recognizable car, the rear end was banged up and it had a trailer hitch).

Turns out that key ALSO fit the other blue Cobalt the service advisor hadn't brought around back yet. But the really odd thing is, the PassKey code was obviously the same, too... since it didn't trigger any security codes. That's like a 1 in a million chance of that happening.

I played a prank on one of my dumb co-workers by swearing up and down the reason her headlights were so dim was because the halogen fluid was getting low. I convinced her to call a dealer to inquire about how much it would cost to get topped off.

Needless to say, after she hung up the phone she wasn't happy with me. At all.

my 96 Beretta key fits my friends 87 Caprice ignition... it starts the car.
my house key starts a 93 Ford Ranger at work...

Had a customer in with a new Malibu this past winter who said her windshield washers wouldn't spray. It was out of fluid. She drove 45 minutes to get it diagnosed.

She was in AWE that a new vehicle could run out of washer fluid.

I seem to remember some of our keys fitting and starting more than one vehicle as well when I was a kid. We got into the wrong camaro once, but the driver did NOT think it was funny...I did though.

I was told that old B Series Mazda trucks in the late 80's through early 90's have only a dozen or see key combinations, leaving a lot of crossover from truck to truck.

not car related but apparently an EZ-GO golf cart key will open most pinball & arcade machine coin boxes

I've heard of a blunder at AMC where an entire dealer got all AMC models with the same key combination. It was only caught when the vehicles were being unloaded off the truck into the lot.

Older Saturns were bad for that... when I was an apprentice I did an oil change on the wrong grey Saturn because of that. The best part is, the owners of the wrong car were in the store shopping, and probably had no idea anyone did an oil change on it and didn't seem to notice it was in a different parking spot.

I once convinced a friend that she had to do a complex conversion formula to air up her tires, because they had been made for "Canadian Air"
