They're in NO order at all... but you can kinda follow the evolution of my Tercel through some of them.

I miss pretty much all of these cars.

I miss my Daytona sooo much. And I can't find another.

As for his Toyota being more rusty... no way. The paint was holding that car together, it looked great but had NO body below the doors... the side skirts gave it the illusion that it had rockers, they were held on with coat hangers. The gas tank fell out while driving home.

I bought it to pull the 4AG to swap into a Tercel but never did do it.

a kid i went to tech school with bought a car like that... it was an 81 Dodge Challenger... any of you remember those bundles of captive Mitsubishi joy?

Anyways, he puts the car on the lift to check it out and as we're raising the car, the roof is buckling. the car was basically breaking in half because it was so rotten.

And as for Daytonas, good luck. I miss my 86 Turbo Z

Hah... nice. My dad had the Plymouth twin of that, the Saporro.

I did this to a Mazda when I was an apprentice:

Frame LOOKED solid... but it had about a layer of sheet metal left, it had rotted from the inside out. I thought the cap fell off while I was lifting it, till I walked around to inspect.

I found this one nearby today. Looks like more a basket case than anything...

I think your GLHS was way more rare. I believe they were actually produced under Carol Shelby's direction also, where as the daytonas weren't.

I wish I had pictures of all my old cars...

Chryslers are soooooooo much fun to play with. I had a ball with my Daytona. I had a Horizon-Omni that was all Rabbit up front... had a 1.7L VW engine, Peugeot 4speed and Citroen drive axles. It was a nightmare to buy parts for.

Yup, it was a 323GTX. Also AWD.

And the Omni was a Turbo as well. (Yup, Shelby...)

Wow... if it wasn't for the electrical fire, I might have called that guy!

As for the GLHS, I still have everything to convert an Omni into one. I got rid of the car because it was rusting away faster than I could throw bondo at it, so I parted it out. I kept EVERYTHING. (including VINs, door jamb stickers, etc, etc.) because, well, back then Omnis were a dime a dozen. They also don't exist now. Although I did see one at Wal Mart last week in really nice shape.

Oh and the Rabbit hunting truck thing was nicknamed the "Punymog" (Like a Unimog). It had an aircooled bug engine in the back, mated to a 4x4 gearbox from what I would imagine was a tractor. It topped out at about 15 mph, but it'd go through ANYTHING.

Yeah, I'm thinking about it. If he were to take 500 for it, it may be worth it...

Hmmm... 2001-2005

He banned me from the store in the spring... blew a tire on my truck and I had the free tire replacement warranty. They asked if I wanted to keep the old tire or pay $3 to dispose of it which I found odd being a warranty tire but whatever, I can get rid of them for free at work. SO, 2 days later they called me at work asking for the tire back, I said it was gone, and then he showed up at my work, gave me about a 10 minute lecture, and told me he didn't want to see me in his store again.

The best part? I forgot to take the old tire with me, and the store manager ran out and put it in the back of my truck!
