It has been such a wonderful couple of days weather wise we went out on two long trips, one out to Ellis County hunting up old buildings and then today took a trip to our old favorite haunts at the old International Wildlife Park. (Ellis County)

Snapped this while hiking on a trail off Parr Park in Grapevine. I really dig the massive tree limbs which appear as though they fell some time ago and have lain undisturbed every since. That there water is purty. Also, it looks like a rather large insect is crawling into that crack. Common sense tells me that it's just a mass of tree roots and tangles that give the appearance of an insect, but Look! even when I zoom in...it still looks like a huge-ass spider!!
Everyone has secrets. It's just a matter of finding out what they are. |

In 1976 Tina Turner was scheduled to perform at the Statler Hilton. It was from here she left her abusive husband, Ike Turner, for good. As he slept in their suite, Tina sneaked down the back stairs "with a Mobil credit card and thirty-six cents." http://en.wikipedi...las_Statler_Hilton

I saw this place years ago while I was in town for Non-UE reasons and couldn't find it since. I'd like to see the inside and all the more interesting that it has the history you mentioned. Also, Astro it's my first fisheye but so far it's awesome. It almost doesn't even need the focus ring since 1ft makes everything from about 1ft to infinity in focus.
