Is this that weird development that didn't build infrastructure and roads before building the houses and later the developer was convicted of fraud for this failure of a neighborhood (I just don't know how else to explain it)? The project was just left to rot after that. The lack of roads is what caught my attention.

Oh, man, I love this one! Where was I, LOL. I just don't remember this vantage point. It must be your mad compositional skills. ;)

Yes. Surprisingly the houses werent completely destroyed by vandals. There was some tagging and vandalism, but nothing too severe. Nothing that couldnt be fixed.

It totally intrigues me when a vulnerable location, for whatever reason, is able to avoid the fate of most of its counterparts at the hands of scrappers and vandals. I haven't yet figured it out, but there is a place here near the TX/OK border that has: 1. super easy entry 2. lots of valuable components, not to mention gorgeous frames and custom woodwork, just leaning against walls 3. NO vandalism, no (or very little) theft of these unique and some very valuable items. 4. It has very high visibility and it's been abandoned since the freaking 1980's-early 90's! It's like a few of these places have an invisible shield or something. Still blows my mind... I do want to see this spot that you posted though. A San Antonio friend offered to take me - if only it was a little bit closer!

I think it's a small rodent. There were literally 100s of small rodents and bird bones, likely from an owl or hawk. SMDSC_0174 by Tiffany Dieringer, on Flickr

Except maybe.... the infrastructure? How long has it sat like this, do you know?
