Is that like a balm you rub on your neck and chest?
Might be better like that... get that heart pounding, tight, trouble breathing feeling in the throat and chest
Blackhawk's Old Time Urban Explorer Balm*

Those chest pains and throat closing up are due to excitement? And here I thought it was just due to the literal carpet of black mold in the hallway of certain locations.

Well you don't need a candle to recreate that

The Blackhawk Bando Candle reeks of smothering black mold with a subtle but spicey presence of carcinogenic danger.
Simulates* all aspects of the sploring thrill by permanently impregnating the nerve pathways and brain of users.
Simply lite and carefully back away briskly.

*May glow and spontaneously meltdown even if not lite.
Leave room immediately, then the state.

Has anyone else here ever been just walking down the street when you suddenly catch the unmistakable whiff of abandonment? It’s happened to me more than once and of course, I’m compelled to stop dead in my tracks and see what it’s about!

Yep! It's definitely happened to me before, and I've usually found that if I can smell it there's usually a way inside pretty close by too.

All the time.
I also found drains and sewers using the same olfactory technique.

Yep...the weirdest time was a few weeks ago while I was at work (active trucking company).
I'd been going in to the admin building to use the restroom, and outside in one spot I caught the distinct odor of abandoned hospital...just in that area. Seems to be a transient odor; each time I catch it, I get that need to splore (and a bit of a desire to put on a mask!) 😉

Worked at the long gone Sun Ship Yard 40 years ago.
At times when walking across the Baker Hughes coiled tubing yard it's smell brought me instantly back to Sun.
Fucking hated both yards. Perfect.
That Shipyard grit smell in the desert... mmmmm, industrial goodness

Yep! I call it the crypt-y smell. Usually leads to further investigations of the area tout-suite

I mean, I basically urbex in GTA 5 and any other open world game. Whenever I play I spend more time looking for tunnels and interesting places than I do completing missions. Also, crashing vehicles and blowing stuff up I guess.

Yep...me too, though I tend to play Fallout more often (when I'm not out actually exploring, at least) 😃

That's a tactical mission to deprive the resources to others
