Never, I never ever stage anything...EVER Especially not these Pokemons, I definitely did not move them and place them in these seats.

This is the only shot I've staged. I staged the globe...found it out in the hallway, but I forgot to make sure it wasn't upside down in the pic lol. I'll still move stuff out of the way (branches, some trash, etc.), but I don't strategically place things anymore...kinda feels like cheating to me. I love the pics, but I have a love/hate relationship with this one now because it doesn't feel as real.

Honestly if you think you can get a better aesthetic shot by moving a few things around I say go for it it's all about personal preference and style. Just as long it doesn't do any damage and you can return it to the way it was before you found it. I've staged a couple shots before but like previously stated most of my sites are industrial and I'm not quite strong enough to like the couple ton pieces of machinery. (Yet)

Freak, that is god damn terrifying. Imagine if you were playing Pokemon go at the time. Cool shot though.

If it'll make a better picture, I'll absolutely move small objects around. Moving an empty spray paint can on top of a pedestal, unpacking a box of tissue sample jars, rearranging small objects, that sort of thing. I put it back when I'm done though, and I've never moved large objects like furniture (though I'm not opposed, so long as it's returned to its original position afterwards).

I sometimes turn a beer can or something small to get a better angle, and turn it back to how it was, but I won't put a mannequin on the bed (just an example)

1. Generally I like to leave things as is, but I will occasionally rearrange things a bit for a good setup. Not sure if this is really 'staging' per se, as all the elements in this shot were in what positions I found them. However, I did intentionally set up the smiley face to show in the window...seemingly garden variety, not a spectacular example of unique forced coincidental perspective (or some better term) UNTIL I got home and looked at the pic more closely. One thing I didn't really think of while shooting was how the remaining glass in the window seems to give the face hair...like some 'Johnny Bravo' 50s pompadour or something. I guess it was staged, or planned, not only to capture the door, but also to see that face, but it also (in my humble opinion anyway) came out to be an even cooler shot than was originally planned.

I'm split in the middle. Majority of my shots are meant to capture a large scenery, but if i find a bunch of cool shit in a room I may be inclined to.... improve their scattered locations. Like say, i have a shot of an old antenna FM/AM radio in the military base. That radio was on the floor, partially buried in refuse. There was a time I took some bricks from the old Sally Sugar Mill in Braithwaite and I made a little pyramid with them. I've arranged old glass bottles. But for the most part, any major "stage" that I do is left for the next guy to find. If homeless people don't ruin it before they get there.

I move things maybe a little for lighting purposes but that's about all

No, never.

But seriously, rarely do I spend time to move things around, usually it's rotating or moving something slightly to get better light on part/most of the subject. Most photos I've taken of things that I moved around a bunch or that other people had I ended up not liking the shot much anyway (unless it's like the shot I posted where me and friends I was with were goofing off with some 5 year old food we found). I prefer trying to shoot things how I found them anyway, working with natural light, trying to find the angle on something etc...
