I have been scoping out this spot for a while. It happens to be closer to my house than expected. 1.

I've been looking at this place for a little while. It isn't owned by the city anymore I don't think. Looks like I'll plan an explore sometime in the near future.

If you're gonna do night-time exploring of a building, consider investing in a headlamp that shines red light. Good way to maintain your night vision, and it won't cast a bright beam that gives you away.

This is one of my favorite spots since its pretty close to me. I love to sit up on the ledge and watch the people below. Real easy to get caught though. The "basement" is a bit sketch though if you dont bring a decent light like i forgot my first trip.

I love this place, and the basement feels *super* creepy, as a basement should. Glad to see it has been opened again, last time I went "they" had buttoned the place up tight.

Anyone been here recently? I realized this place is closer to home than I thought (I've been across the street), and I'd love to pay it a visit. Don't want to run into trouble.

Just a few months ago the POE was extremely obvious standing in front of it. It's crazy. But now the wide open POE all sealed up and I've heard that people get arrested there all the time. To me, it isn't worth the risk since every floor is pretty much the same but I'm sure there are others here who would beg to differ and who have been recently.

Damn. I'm cool with getting asked to leave. I'm cool with getting fined. Definitely don't want to get arrested though. Thanks for the info.

I did. Posted in the corresponding thread. And I plan to go back if I can recruit other people to go with me.

Yes. I would highly advise against exploring that location on your own XD

Scoped this place out this afternoon. The POEs look alive and well, but the whole place is really exposed. There were tons of people walking by all day and even a couple people working in the garage. I couldn't tell what they were doing, but they pulled up a van and pulled out a broom and other supplies. I also saw a woman park and feed the stray cats in the courtyard. There was also a private security guy in the lot nearby (extremely chubby, didn't look like he'd be up for a chase). If you want to visit, you'll have to go at night and only use a flashlight on the floors with in-tact windows. I don't have the know-how (or balls) to pull it off without getting caught, so the best I can offer is a few pictures from the street.

Back again. This time I talked to (and fed) a homeless guy. He said security was really lax and that no one was getting ticketed or arrested. Maybe it's a different experience for homeless vs explorers? He also said lots of people were living here. Be careful! Another homeless man walked by and told me about one of his friends who froze to death a few years ago outside this building. "Right over there," he said, pointing at the fountain. It's a sad tale. Another photo of the outside, obfuscated a tiny bit to hide location:
