sirpsychosexy, honestly...I don't know! It certainly could be some type of adding machine because it wasn't a register and wasn't a type writer. 1. SMDSC_0535 by Tiffany Dieringer, on Flickr 2. SMDSC_0514 by Tiffany Dieringer, on Flickr

"Stone buildings will be among the last to disappear when we're gone. As the fleeting materials of modern construction decompose, the world will retrace our steps back to the Stone Age as it gradually erodes away all memory of us." |

I love old computers. Imagine how much sensitive research was probably left on those floppies and tape drives. I've been dreaming about hitting up some abandoned offices and research centers in Silicon valley, taking my 1997 vintage laptop and copying as many floppies as I can. that way, I can have odd, expensive data and still practice "leave no trace" I mean, look at those Andy Warhol images they pulled off those floppy disks.

It's a cheque (check) protector. You would put a cheque in it, and set the numbers and it would print the amount in red, and also perforate the cheque, making it virtually impossible for anyone to alter the amount without detection.
"You're a catastrophe... On your watch we've lost almost all of our allies, the budget surplus, four airliners, two trade centers, a piece of the Pentagon and the city of New Orleans. Maybe your just not lucky. I'm not saying you don't love this country. I'm just wondering how much worse it could be if you were on the other side. Yes, God does speak to you. And he's saying: Take a hint." B. Maher |
