Here's a Northern Telecom Displayphone 1000. It was any early combination-data terminal/telephone developed in the late-70s and sold through the 1980s; the 1000 was a more advanced model that featured a swivel monitor and detachable keyboard.

An old industrial cotton gin (or part of one, anyway). Cotton included.

My Grandmother use to be one of those girls.
(Found in non-abandoned farm while searching for abandoned buildings in country in the back of a little store they had, in spite of appearance suspect it hasn't been used in years.) (EDIT: Picture was too big)

Old vacuum, VCR, and a television with dials
An old portable radio
As a vinyl collector, I'd argue that record players are not obsolete technology, but... [ The most impressive A-track collection that I've ever seen DSC06612 by JFlash Someone forgot to put away their floppy

In the same category. Only we had to go through a muddy hell to get there! Like many bunkers, this one was still under the ground so we had to dig our way to the entrance. The first step inside wasn't really what we had expected, sinking knee deep into horrible smelling sludge. It was close to a farmer's field so someone probably dumped loads of sludgy manure stuff in there for years. But the discovery of this very rare piece made it all worthwhile. Santa's coming (photo by Peter de Krom) http://www.basdemo...o.jpg?i=1478762332 This is only the casing, with a battery box above it
The front plate where the phone lines would go into
All cleaned up as much as was possible, and now in our museum

It kinda looks like an engraving machine. The round dial at the top - did it have numbers and letters on it? What kind of location was it found in?

It was found in a hospital. It was letters and numbers, so you might be right. Sounds better than my best guess.

p3 by Harvestman Man, on Flickr p16 by Harvestman Man, on Flickr Trash-80! If I was into that sort of thing, I would have taken this. Unfortunately, someone decided to cut EVERY electrical cord in the building. Even the headphones.
Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing. |
