I haven't been in there in awhile but the main field area is/was just use for general storage (tractors, astroturf, that kind of thing). The behind the scenes areas might be more interesting but I haven't been back there. If you're trying to get in illicitly check out ... BZZZZZT ....

Please tell me that someone from here attending the 50th bday bash? And took pictures? So pissed I learned of it the night it happened!!!
I've seen pictures posted on Chron.com etc, but those are mostly of people posing with old Oilers and Astros players ;)

No worries, you didn't miss a lot. They prepared for about 2,000 people, and got 23,000. I tried to get in and the lines were just too much. Astro was a champ getting there early and *still* having to fight the crowds, I'm super impressed.

The Houston Chronicle published this article in March about three dudes (one of which I assume is their source, Imgur user astrodome713) who haphazardly found their way into the Astrodome circa 2012. The article includes 24 photos.
