So I recently purchased a pair of these super skimpy sandals pursuant to having some summer footwear that might not aggravate some bad alignment in my feet: http://www.planets...men_119_detail.jpg They're for barefoot running I guess (I'm not a runner) but were advertised to me in addition to this as being 'great for urban exploration!'. Pardon me if the last place I'm intending to wear open shoes is into an area that could be rife with loose nails, rusted metal, and broken glass. Or am I being too uptight about this? Not a good selling point Anyway. These are my adventurin' boots. What gets you where you need to go?

I would never wear anything but well-padded, well broken-in, waterproof leather hikers to an abandonment.

Nike freeruns I take everywhere except in drains.

Rubber boots, hip waders and hiking shoes. I also have a pair of shoes made entirely of cats.

Just regular construction worker boots lol.

Hiking boots here. Wouldn't even entertain the thought of anything else.

I find it difficult to climb fences in boots that dont have enough flex to get through the chain link.

I broke in a pair of Chucks once at Dixie Square and wore them on every explore for like two or three years until they literally fell apart. Bad idea, regardless. Once I also wore Walmart-special work boots, they fell apart two weeks later. One of these days I'll eventually buy quality shit.

That cat is awesome.
Also, I use whatever shoes are on my feet.
The Durango '95 purred away a real horrowshow - a nice, warm vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts. And soon it was trees and dark, my brothers, with real country dark. |

I just wear old running shoes, it is way too hard to maneuver in heavy boots over a fence, shimmy a wall, etc.

Where ever I go, im usually wearing hiking boots. Although when I first started exploring I just wore some skateboarding shoes. The skateboarding shoes worked fine for buildings but not so much for drains. lol

1.
I've got these hiking shoes. They're great because they have a lot of rubber tread on them and some splash guard

Danner boots. Only way to go.
