I bought a new Civic a week or so ago and was very pleased with Honda. They were straight with me the entire time, I ended up getting $3,000 off and 1.99 percent for 5 years.

Posted by Samurai you guys remember when I ordered that Cobalt in late 2004 and the dealer changed the order on me? that was an object lesson in dealers. That's why I am pretty much a peckerhead to salesmen. i don't trust none of them.
|
I have a friend who is a Chevy salesman actually and I remember him telling me if a customer ordered a car back in the day, GMAC would sometimes override the order if the dealer was using GMAC to float cars and there was a high risk of vehicle return for whatever reason.

They remind me a little bit of the BMW Z4 coupe. That's not a bad thing.

I looked into the Scion Fr-s as I'd get a deal on one. Everybody seems to have one up here already and I've heard rumors from engineers that a turbo version will be coming shortly. I'd also have to store it come winter and that's an issue as I don't have a garage. Hence an Si, I'll drive it all year round and it's got just as much power as the Fr-s.

i signed the papers on a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze 1LT today. Crystal red tintcoat, 6speed manual, 1.4L Turbo. they gave me $6000 (I owed $8244) for my Cobalt and washed the rest through several discounts and rebates. They had to do a dealer swap with a dealership in Syracuse. I take delivery after work on Monday. It's been a long time coming, but I will be saving $200 a month in payments, plus I will have a new car, something I can drive all year. You wouldn't believe the amount of fiddlefucking around I had to do with my finance company for that car. Ironically, I ended with a much better interest rate than I had and much lower payments. The car also will be better on gas as well. Anyways, pics when I take delivery Monday afternoon (they leaving to go get it tonight.)
**edit... i ended up with not only a way more manageable payment, but a much better interest rate.

My mother inlaw bought one of these a few months ago. She had multiple issues with it and was at the dealer longer than it was in her possession. They ended up buying it back and giving her a killer deal on a Chevy suv ( forget the model).

That's a nice car, congrats. I'm encouraged to hear that they offer it with a manual transmission.

Congratulations, and thank you for supporting Ohio auto workers. Hope you enjoyed your fiddlefucking! Those f-holes can be pretty tight!

my mother bought a 2011 Chevy Cruze Eco in June 2011. So far she has had ZERO issues with it. The car has done everything advertised and the mileage has been better than advertised. The Cruze is offered with two manual transmissions and two manumatics... both are 6-speeds, but the Eco models are gear more towards economy. I'm not a big fan of sedans, but what sold me on the car was the stance the car had. It looks ready to pounce sitting still. It's an entry level economy car that doesn't look like an entry level economy car. One of the things i think that made the Cobalt not sell as well as the Cruze was the design was still too close to the Cavalier that had been in production (at that point- 2005) for 23 years. The other reason I bought the 1LT and not the Eco was the suspension. The Eco's suspension isn't as 'sporting' as the 1LT and up. And Splumer... i've been to the plant at Lordstown. Most of my Cavaliers, two Cobalts came from that plant.

Ohio seems to make good cars...the Jeep has been built there since 1942 and even Chrysler is expanding the plant for the new Grand Wagoneer

Wait! New wagoneer you say? I must look this up!
