Decrepitude and I were dinkin' around last night, and when light painting the buildings didn't work out as well as we hoped, I thought, "Hey, why not the car?"

Thanks for lending the photo, D!

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Hahaha I was just about to post this. I noticed that going through too. So many people illegally parked with their licenses plate in plain view..... I mean for the most part they will be good, but there is always a chance it could come back and bite em in the ass.

That's relieving. I thought my transmission was fucked. No. It's not. I learned the trick. Wait until an absolute stop, mash the clutch, shift to first, and then to reverse, and it won't grind. Otherwise an absolute joy to drive.

my Cobalt SS is sometimes snarky like that... i have an annoying ring that I have to pull up to get the shifter back into reverse, though.

80s chryslers are like that too. I had a ring to pull, and reverse was up and to the left of first. Same on my lebaron and daytona. I thought that was pretty awesome, and never had trouble shifting those

it always posed a bit of a timing issue when you're sliding around trying to get the trans into reverse so you can somewhat save the slide, though

i got it with 160,000 miles on it. Traded it for my 96 Beretta.

i meant the generation of CR-V he has... it was a pretty good compromise between real world economy and getting where you need to go, you meathead.

I'm not that old...

Plus, cramming three photographers, gear, a ladder & tripod or two, a pile of semi-safety gear, over roads that need a bit of ground clearance, and sometimes even needing the mirrors pulled in to allow the branches to squeal down the paint, requires a certain kind of car.

See ya! Neko.
