|  | | | Good luck! It's actively patrolled by rent a cops, the court house full of bacon is right around the corner, and scrubs is being filmed in a section of the hospital so I'm sure it'd be a bad idea to go nosing around at that part.
However; with all that aside, it would be a badass explore. It's def. on my places to infiltrate on my next trip to cali cali.

hospitals are awesome. the guards can be a problem if there's lots of them or if they move around a lot. however, i made it into a hospital in san francisco that was patrolled 24/7 by 2 guards. you just have to know where they are before you go in. the filming thing might deter me a bit, but i think you'd hear them filming before you saw them, so you'd probably be OK avoiding them.

We actually we're approached by the property manager of the hospital after we had finished exploring. He was very nice. I had all my camera gear with me and he asked if we were scouting movie locations. I dont know, maybe its more heavily patrolled now than when I went. It's worth giving it a shot, its an absolutely amazing exploration. Here are some of the photos I took.

Great link! I've never heard of this place before since I'm on the other side of the country, but it looks really rad. Those body freezer doors are amazing. Can't wait to hear if you have success with your trip.

I just signed up on this site and wanted to do this as my first UE, but went to Sunken City, Fort MacArthur, and the Queen Mary on a random urge, and had fun exploring some off-limit areas. The camera and an interested look on your face works wonders, and always explain how you enjoy taking pictures of old/abandoned locations, and try to capture their beauty. Works (almost) every time.

It can be easy to get in this place. it just depends on what's going on that day. It's totally an active location that's used as soundstages, so is is an infiltration. They didn't have a problem with us taking pictures, but we weren't allowed upstairs. I didn't see much natural decay there because many of the rooms have been painted over and there are many props just laying around, but it's still a cool place nonetheless.

| | | | This site is pretty near my Downtown home, so I made three nighttime visits in the last week to take pictures. Two visits I was alone, the other I talked my way on during a movie shoot.
On nights the site isn't being used, I observed the on-site security limited to physical measures such as locks, fences and barbed wire; no cameras or private security. During the movie shoot however I noted two caretakers patrolling throughout. Whether the site is in use or not, it is possible to access creatively and without B&E.
I did notice the regular passing of an LAPD patrol car about every half hour.
