Or in our case. Blind'n Security. Do 15+minutes damage to their night vision. Does it strobe?
Incandescent won't strobe*. If you want, you can get similar output (and a longer runtime) in a 2D mag lite for about $100. These parts pretty much replace the Mag lite parts, but you have to register on CPF and order them from a guy who buys them in bulk from suppliers and sells them singly. Note: More mag lite (3D, 4D, etc) means you get more voltage, and way more output with different bulbs. And there's more to it but it gets to be an infinite rabbit hole of flashlight nerding. Also people on CPF sell these things complete for cheaper; WickedLasers or whatever kinda stole the idea from the people who made 'em here. http://www.candlep...ga-battery-holders
Have Mag lite 2D
$27 Reflector Cammed bifocal
$3 Front glass Mineral glass
$37 Battery holder 8AA to 2D 9.6v White 8AA to 2D (9.6 volt) $37
$9 Bulb for white 8AA to 2D Bi-pin WA1164
$18 Socket Brass G4 Bi-Pin PR socket
*cheaply. But you can flicker the switch pretty fast. Trouble is, high-voltage bulbs cool down slowly, sometimes taking half a second to dim down.
