Yeah that's the name. We have tonnes of it in Brisbane, Australia because the city's economic boom was during the 1970's and 1980's thanks to the notorious at the then time, Premier Sir Joh Bjelke-Peterson. He knocked down lots of heritage listed buildings over night without any public consultation or approval which has resulted in people like me dashing about photographing every last piece of history this city has because believe it or not heritage listed buildings are still being torn down over night... it isn't as bad as it was during the 70's or 80's though.

Anyway lots of Brutalist buildings are usually government facilities, to ensure the public feels comfortable with a titanic grey block of concrete full of lawyers and policemen ...

I get the feeling they read dystopian novels and are inspired.

Other than the thread kicking the can (a reference to the very first post) I am a little lost on where the new thread is.

Ran into these fellows just today! Thankfully they were not chasing me. The building in the background is abandoned, with plans to convert it into a museum. When I rolled up, the local police and their SWAT team were posing in front of their vehicles while a photographer took pictures of them. I parked the car and took a few pictures of my own. Going back to my car I noticed the building in front of which they were parked [not pictured] was also abandoned. So minutes after they left I did a little recon and found my way into the building. Luckily they didn't unleash the armored vehicle on me.

Considered posting a certain yellow house there, but here's a beautiful wood stock instead.
