I've explored by myself, with one other person, and with 3 people.

I usually go with one other person, but I'm going to try to do more solo explores so I can gain a little more experience with it. My other goal is to explore with 2 other people so I can say that I've done it.

I don't know if I'd ever be willing to explore with 4 or a few more people. I'd probably be fine exploring with somewhere between 5 and 9 other people, but if there are between 10 and 15, things will get iffy. And I don't think I'd be willing to explore with more than 15 people. It seems kind of risky and I'm not social enough to try it.

I've explored by myself, all the way up to like 10. It doesn't matter to me really. I've explored some rather shady places alone, but nothings ever happened. One benefit of being alone (with me personally), is that I can sneak/squeeze/climb into places rather easily as to where a lot of others can't. But its still always nice to explore with others. Share the experience.

Usually I go in a group of three. Me, my brother, and my friend Eddie. Sometimes, my brother will bring along another friend or two, or he won't come at all. I the summer, I sometimes bike to buildings and go alone. I would never go into any tunnels alone though, just for safety reasons.

Usually one other person or by myself. The people that know me know that if we're exploring and I hear a train close by it's goodbye exploring and hello train in a heartbeat. That's the biggest reason why...

Usually one other person. Sometimes two. Rarely three or more unless we are going somewhere that is chill and big enough that we won't be falling over each other.

I go to places I have permission to enter with my two 14 year old daughters. For other, more interesting trips I usually go with 1 or 2 other people. 4 is the max size I prefer, any more than that and it is easier to be spotted.

I live in Buffalo, so 0 or 1.

Generally alone or with a friend, the one I've explored with for about 20 years. Sometimes more, for example during annual meets or in Svalbard when a bunch of non-explorers always tags along because group brings safety from logistics point of view. Still, for a serious trip I'd rather not take more than one person with me.

One other person.

No one else I know is or would be interested, but one person is good number for adequate company, safety, and to get an alternative perspective when needed.

I used to do the big group thing but these days I prefer no more than myself and two others unless it's less of an exploration and more of a hang out and have a few drinks thing. I don't really like going by myself either though unless I'm very familiar with the place.

Wow, 17 is a lot of people to have to keep track of and watch if you're going to go exploring. I never go anywhere by myself, because of safety reasons; it's always good to have someone to help you out if need be. But I do prefer going with my two close friends. I think three is the max group size I would have though. It's just one of my things, but I like to keep an eye on everyone in the group, and make sure they are all being safe. Gets harder to do with more people.

I usually explore by myself because I don't know anyone else personally who is interested in UE. Before I go, I always make sure someone knows where I am though. Optimally, I would want to go with one or two other people but probably no more than that.

Just myself 99% of the time. Most people don't want to walk the distance necessary to do mines and ghost towns. Largest ever was myself and two others.

Its me and my girlfriend time.... We both work full time and seperate shifts so when we et a day off together we pull up our google earth pick a marked out spot and go for it.

Typically whoever wants to go. Anywhere from 2-7 I guess. I like exploring by myself if I feel comfortable with the area a location is in.

sometimes i try taking new people along, but they often back out after a few steps, so i get to explore on my own.

usually just myself and one other. sometimes i meet up with other people at a place, since i kind of like finding my own POE.
