Whose got what???

Guess I'll start....*giggles*...seeing as this board has been created an nobody's said boo yet.....

What kind of rig are y'all running?? Mods??

I've got a '91 Sidekick, other than 235x75 r15's, better rims, gutted the carpeting and added beefer ford shocks to the rear I really haven't modded much. This things just so damn capable as it is....but in the near future I will be doing a body lift, snorkel and probably upgrading to 5.13 gearing and maybe locking up the front.

Next??

Pics??

Here's my baby....

The problem with the world is dumb people. I'm not advocating capital punishment for dumb people. I'm just suggesting we remove all the warning labels and let the problem solve itself.

1989 Jeep Comanche. Its in dire need of body work and brake work. Gah, I have a friend who said their uncle is willing to take the truck to Trenton, do the body, brake and steering work, then safety it. He quoted me around $800 for the entire shabang.

1979 Chevy k10. Got a 350, between 350-400 horsepower, steadily detuning it, more reliability, less power. got an sm465 three speed with low gear, low gear ratio is 6.55:1. Np205 transfer case, low range is 1.96:1. Twelve bolt rear with posi and ten bolt front, 4.56 gears. Runnin 35x12.50r15 Super Sport Radial HT's on 15x8 steelies.

I've rolled it twice now, it's covered in dents, the front bumper has a crooked smile, it's got mud on the ceiling, and I've had it deep enough that the stereo no longer works.

Gets me to work every day.

In the future are 38" TSLs, a full float rear, electric front winch, PTO rear winch, bucket seats, internal cage, and MORE DENTS!

1987 Suzuki Samurai JX. I first saw these things in the Bahamas in 1982. At the time, they were 900cc, 2WD, chain drive. I always said if they ever came to the US, I was an owner. Cut to 1985. I'm in Houston and what puls up next to me? Suzuki! The early models were Scamps, not Samurais, but its what I wanted. I got 128,000 plus miles out of the original motor, and it is currently at the machine shop being bored and having the heads done. Its getting the full Calamini kit, including Weber carb, cam, oversized pistons, etc. Its also getting a 2.5 gallon reserve fuel tank, and an air locker for the rear. This is my ghost town machine, and I love it because it is narrow enough to ride on the ridges between the ruts!

Mods: Goodyear LT tires, Bilstein gas shocks, removed the belt driven fan and replaced it with two electric fans, alternator from a Volvo, dual batteries, LED driving and fog lamps custom built by my Dad, K&N air filter system, removed AC compressor and bracket, and installed evaporative ram-air cooler of my own design.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

'94 Land Rover Discovery. Mild exhaust mods, otherwise stock. I just got it a few weeks ago, so it's just begun. Looking at a 2" OME lift, some RTE bumpers with winch mounts, ARB lockers front and rear, and still unsure of tires...

I got a new truck. Actually, two new trucks. I've got an 86 f250 diesel 4x4 that does daily driving and towing duty. I've also got a 1979 f150 4x4 for offroad use. It's on 36" Trail Busters, with a spooled rear.

We can fix that.

We just need to add a little Ford.

I took 5th place at the mudbogs this weekend.

So you're saying a Ford in the same situation wouldn't have gotten stuck?

I had mine in a very similar situation, but I had my front tires in a big washout too. Everybody thought I was gonna be stuck, even the people riding with me. Drove right out.

So, yes. haha

But your situation was different since you had both fronts on the ground. I had 1 wheel on each axle in the air, and no lockers so I only spun. If had a locker on either axel, I would have been out easy.

That's why I have lockers, haha.

Best mod ever.

I'm collecting parts to build a rockbuggy now. I'm thinking 350/sm465/np205, one ton axles, 42" TSLs, four-linked front and rear, full hydro steering, airshox, and allot of badass tubework.
