I'm a licensed pilot, with no instrument ticket, no multi engine rating, and my insurance company wants me to stick with fixed gear until I get a few more hours. Currently I'm flying my Dad's Cessna 172 RG quite a bit, in defiance of the insurance nerds!
I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread. |

I'm pursuing my VFR license, I'm getting trained on an old Aeronica champ right now flying out of moontown airport (3M5 I think)

Hello, just found this section. I have my private license and I am currently working on my instrument rating. I fly a Cherokee 140 and have bummed a bunch of time in an MU-2, time I cant officially log that is.

I am working on my private right now, but within the next 4 years I will have my commercial multi and most likely also commercial helicopter license. Right now I just fly 172's. I should solo here within the next couple of weeks.

My family owned a general aviation airport when I was growing up, I am about the only person in my family that is not a pilot. Many of my relatives either have private licenses, or work for the airlines. long story short, My whole life has been around aviation of one sort or another.
The personal responsibility train left the station years ago, and you gave it the finger as you watched it leave. |

I'm workin on my private as well as everyone else on here it seems, im about halfway done .... i just cant afford the lessons right now. Someday i plan to own my own cessna and fly out to all those hard to get to UE locations haha

As of May 7th, I'll be in training for my PPl, then going on to IFR and CPL. I want to eventually get hooked up with Air Canada, or WestJet.

Just finished my private in a 152, started on my IFR in a 172, and I'll be getting my multi in a few weeks.

PPL, working on my IFR and Commercial, with abit of Complex A/C on the side, out of Three Hills, Alberta. Oddly enough, I'm still afraid of heights (tall building roofs? No thanks.)

My father and grandfather are both pilots, and share a 1980 Beech 58P Baron that I've been flying in since I was very young, and got to fly a couple times as a teenager (supervised, of course!) I've spent my whole life around aviation, and though I am not yet a certified pilot, my brother and I both plan to get our licenses and pick up the family tradition after I graduate from college.

I am working on my PPL, but my goal is CPl with all ratings.

Update... Now I'm a fighter pilot, and unleash hate from above on a daily basis. I still enjoy flying gliders and also have commercial certification for single and multiengine land, with instrument rating. However I don't have a current medical, so all I can fly right now are gliders and military fighters!

I recently learned the hard way the getting my ME rating is not cheap. I'm paying 200$ per hour plus another 40$ for an instructor. Is that a rip off or what?
|
|
that sounds fair enough for a multiengine plane and instructor...

I'm a licensed British PPL but since a) I don't live in Britain any more and b) I can't afford to actually go flying, ever, I'm not exactly current ;)

my grandpa had a Cub back in the 1950's, he took my grandmother up in it once. From the story I am told he attempted to take it inverted. Needless to say she did not speak to him for a while after that. He sold it after crashing it into a corn field at a family reunion. He walked away unhurt though.
