| | | Abandoned sites near and around Stockholm(Sweden)? < on 3/28/2006 7:21 PM >
| | | Hi! Does anyone know if there are some abandoned sites near and around Stockholm? I have tried to find some sites, but I have not found anything... I love this website, and I would love to start exploring deserted places. The closes thing I have seen to an abandoned site is two houses (now demolished, both of them). | | | "Akaytemplet" is actually not very exiting, but has indeed served as an entry into Urban Exploration for many. If you are swedish, or speak swedish, you can find a lot of information on the UE forum at Flashback http://www.flashba...umdisplay.php?f=76 . Akay is now equiped with an alarm and a movement sensor however. [last edit 4/10/2006 11:44 AM by Blackfield - edited 1 times]

I think its one of the better places if you count all the surrounding areas around the place. The Gas Tunnel, Sewers, Train Tunnels, Old Train Tunnel, Salt Lake.. and more..

Yes the surrounding places are amongst the most interesting UE sites in Sweden, but Akay itself is not as interesting. It has some kind of nostalgic ambiance to it though, so I won't say it's unworthy of visit.

| | | I have found an abandoned building north of Stockholm, I will go there as soon as I have organized a group of my friends, but it looks quite promising

| | | There is an old erricsson factory really close to The Telefonplan subway station. We used to have military combat training while I did my military service. Sounds cooler than it really is. the building is abandoned most of the time, but hte have tore down parts of the building since last time I was there so I´m not really sure annymore. Anyway there are all these bunkers in the woods all around Skogås, located 20 with commuter train south of Stockholm. Somme olaces there are pretty cool.

How close can you go?

| | | I've been thinking of throwing an UE trip to Stockholm. I have some free full cabin one-way tickets for Silja Line, but the only thing is that I hate those ships (and can't speak Swedish, even though I should)...
