| | | Well, searching for them by driving around and looking for them after hearing vague stories is just a part of the fun. Isn't it?? It wouldn't be much fun if you found a list with all the places, Sometimes the hunt is more interessting than the catch . For me that is.

| | | I dont think you will find a city listing all of their empty buildings on a web site. Your best bet would be to try the location Database here on this site, however it only has a few buildings listed for even the large cities. You can always try other UE websites, but you will have to find a web site thats from, or near your city, which may be difficult.

| | | Try: Register of Historic Places, you local historical society, sometimes a city website, search for demolition proposals... But definitely, driving around and scoping it out is the best / most fun way.

| | | I know that Winnipeg has several departments that have vacant building listings on their web-sites. Also, you could go to the main fire department and ask for a vacant building list which produced me a large list nearly 600 buildings, most of which are uninteresting places. I still prefer to drive and walk around neighborhoods as its a lot more fun, get to see the city and you can have some memorable experiences.

| | | Superfund sites are all listed online, usually by zip code I think. They haven't preven very useful to me though, as most of the listed addresses have dissapeared by the time I check 'em out. I don't think they are updated much.

| | | Here's a sorta useful page for cities, anyhow. http://www.skyscrapers.com . It doesn't say 'abandoned', but it does have an 'occupied' thing in the profile of every building, which when not present, weelll... Also, it's just skyscrapers and low-rises, but it does have just about every mid-sized to large building just about everywhere on the planet.

| | | It's not really vacant, but the city of Springfield, MO sends me a list of dangerous, nuisance, or blighted properties every month via email. It's from the Neighborhood Conservation Office of the city, but it might be available from other departments in other cities. They even put the thing online every month. --WR

| | | Every state has a real estate office where they sell off property and buildings they don't use. Most of them will send you a list of what they've got if you ask in regards to looking for property or such.

| | | The best places to explore are probably not in any database. Driving and walking around, and word of mouth have been the best ways I have found to direct me to locations. Like what goose said, and like the song from Motorhead, the chase is better than the catch!

| | | Imagin if UE keeps growing and large lists of abandoned buildings are listed. On any weekend night, you could have two or three different UE infiltrator teams attempting to enter buildings and scareing the headlamps off each other or thinking that each other are cops following them. I'm a newbie and would love to know exact locations but I'm also paranoid and I want to be the only black clad guy playing ninja at any given location at night.

| | | Nice site but tends to be very inaccurate -- vacant buildings are occupied or don't exist more often than not. Still, worth a shot.

| | | Finding abandoned houses is hard. Odd things like Military bases, Asylums/hospitals, bridges, and even abandoned ski resorts, though, aren't too hard to find. There are lots of websites that specialize in the historical aspect of these things. Just search google... Looking online has kept me busy while Im stuck inside waiting for good weather too...

YOU GONNA BUY ME A CAR MUFFUCKER!!?!!?!?!?!!?! Haha, just playing. I feel you, except most of what I scout out is within a block of the bus and train lines I take most often. And the best place I ever found I found online, only because I didn't realize it was vacant when I passed it on day to day travels due to lights still on inside.
