I'm planning a trip to Memphis in a few days to check out the Sterick Building. Could anyone tell me how accessible it might be, or suggestions on entering the building?

Try walking right in the front door. That should get you in. Ok all jokes aside, this is what i do when I spot a place I want to go to. First i spot it and I google it to find out as much as I can about the place, then I check it and the surrounding area out on google maps (any place with an aerial view will work) to find best place to park and direction of best entry (keep in mind time of day, inhabited, busy roads, tall grass, shadows and low spots in the ground; also weather and climate could affect your entry). Then I do a drive by of every side possible, then a day time walk around the exterior, looking for cameras, motion detectors, security and alarm systems. Then I do a soft probe of the area at night to test the access and to determine any inhabitants that may have previously been missed. After all that is done I gather my gear and do a full out exploration and take as many pics as possible. If you want I can search for some info for you and take a peak at aerial photos and give you my opinion of the best approach.

Well...... crap........

The Sterick is tricky, but accessible. Almost everyone here is hesitant to reveal access info for buildings, for security reasons and because that's part of the adventure. I will tell you, though, that if you get in to be careful of fish hooks suspended about face level on fishing line. I'm not joking.

Pot farmers have been doing that for years. Somebody was either growing/brewing something in Sterick, or they were really pissed at someone who stole/vandalized.
