| | | Hey everyone...so I attempted to go to Edgar yesterday thanks to cereal83's wonderful post...however I got called into work and had to cancel as it's pretty far away for me and I had no time to make the trip into the area. I did, however have time after work to take a quick drive to these three abandoned shops that I spotted in Pickering one day when I was on my way back home from Whitby. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I couldn't find an easy way in..and by the time we spotted the open window around back someone was already inspecting our illegally parked car nearby...so we decided to get out of there. I did snap some exterior shots and hopefully myself or one of you guys will be able to return soon and do some more investigation! And if anyone has any speculations or knowledge of what these places were before they were abandoned, (aside from the obvious welding company building..) I would love to hear. Oh..and I apologize in advance for the crappy photos.

| | | That's the formerly lovely village of Brougham. It's smack dab in the middle of where the GTAA and the feds want to build the unwanted/unrequired Pickering International Airport. That used to be a vibrant community. The last few years have seen most of the stores close and a mass exodus of residents to greener pastures.

| | | Interesting find. If I were a ghost I'd definitely shop there.

| | | There's all sorts of good stuff happening around there right now... here's the DB entry from my trip to that site a few weeks ago. Don't know what window you could be talking about. ;) Seems like it'd be a snug fit. Full interior shots in the DB. http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=27776

You're welcome I was having this discussion with another member just days ago about how, when brightening photos taken in darkness, I tend to get orbs. We both agreed that this was due to the flash hitting dust and other particles in the air, which would otherwise be invisible to the flash in daylight. Others feel that these are spiritual... to each their own of course.

theres usually a logical explanation for the orb like objects in pictures.
They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn! |

Yes...definitely..there's almost always an explanation for them...granted sometimes they look extremely cool, and it's still fun to speculate.
