| | | When I was racing, I trained, on average, 50+ miles per day, and about 70+ on Sat and Sun if there wasn't a race or it was pre-season. Of course all of those miles were on back roads. So for me, yes, it is very possible. I wasn't carrying any excess weight either, just a few power-gels, water, and some carb-foods. I'm not sure of your fitness level, so put in a lot of base miles in the weeks leading up to your trip, and gradually add weight so you get used to the feel of a loaded bike. I would ask some folks from your local bike shop, or look online, for the safest routes possible. Too many fuckhead drivers out there to not research your trip. Good luck, and enjoy.
