| | | | Saturday wanderings < on 1/7/2007 4:27 AM >
| | | And boy was there wandering - 420 something-odd new miles on the odometer from today. 3 locations Location 1 ------------- Unfortunately didn't work out - got to meet Barry Kooda though. Very cool guy! Location 2 ------------- Didn't get much here - I shall return though, because the buildings here look mighty interesting
Location 3 ------------- This is the big 'un. Didn't stay very long and didn't see the main attraction, but boy was the underground part fascinating. I don't want to be here alone and I don't want to be here at dark (like I was today). It was pitch black in here.

| | | wow, those are some great looking places. Sounds like you had a good day overall. Glad you got to meet Barry. He keeps avoiding me though. I think it's because he promised me he was easy or something like that. Love ya Barry. Good stuff man. I'll see you in the morning.

| | | Great work! Good to get to meet you in the flesh today and I'm glad your luck got better. I got my wife's office furniture in and then had to go back and break in to her closet where she'd locked her purse and keys. What fun! Hey?! I know that fan!I took this photo a year ago at the third location. I love that place.

| | | That sure is a lot of wandering! I dunno if I've got that kind of dedication... Love those pictures and I hope to see more from you return visit(s). That sewing machine is absolutely exquisite -- I could do still-lives with that from now until I die. [last edit 1/7/2007 3:17 PM by drewtedlock - edited 1 times]

| | | 2X - yes, yes she is. Barry - oh no I stole the fan shot! drew - after getting home about 10:30pm from driving 100 miles or so in the rain, I was up at 6am this morning for a pre-dawn stealth explore. :p 2X and Barry - I was just awestruck at the 3rd place... it's just, oh my.

I know! My second trip, I crawled all underneath and got into the store room under the main entrance stairs. I could spend a month in there. I could envision your exact route to find the fan. In that same area are these cool old electric meters.

I'll never forget that picture, and what it originally represented. Laugh my ass off funny.

| | | Location 2's building has some very interesting construction. What exactly is it? And on the left half of the building it looks like it has tubes or has a repeating half cylinder wall, if that makes sense, or is that the fish eye playing tricks?

I haven't seen it in a long time. I don't know if it's still around, but if I run across it, I'll direct you guys to it. It's totally hilarious.
