| | Michigan Central Station visit on 10/30/06 < on 11/1/2006 3:03 AM >
| | | I've been in Detroit the past few days and stopped by the MCS to have a look. As everyone (and their baby, on the far right, hxxp://sitemaker.u...cs_group_photo.jpg) has already been here, I'll just post a few of my favorite pictures. Access is still pretty much cake, the only complication was the constant stream of people driving around the building taking pictures. Finally, someone really needs to kick the shit out of whoever "catfish" is. His freaking tags are everywhere now and they 're particularly pointless.

Catfish was a homeless guy that lived in the station for a few years. He goes back every year on his birthday and adds another tag with the year. Since he left there, he has a job and an apartment but MCS is still a part of him. So before you decide to "kick the shit out of him", learn the facts before spouting your mouth.

Ha, thanks for the information (seriously). He posted his age (50's) a few times in the tags, and I was wondering about that. Between the swastikas, devil stuff, and random tags, it was hard for me to tell the serious writing from the vandalism.

| | | God I love that building. I saw it once from the exterior when on a solo vacation roadtrip (I'm on the east coast). My biggest regret was I didn't try and get into it.

| | | That's cool. I thought I was the only one that likes rappelling off buildings just for the hell of it. Bridges are cool too.
