| | | Here my problem : there is an abandoned hospital near my house and I really want to go need. It's the first UE where I face locked doors so I need your opinion. I've scouted the location several times and I spotted two way of entry. First, the roof via the emergency stairs. But I don't even know if there is unlocked door on the roof...
reaching the stairs imply to climb on the wall or to use a rope and a hook. or this door
I'm sure that the sliding window will not cause much trouble, but maybe I will need to use a crowbar to force it ...and please note that the building is in the center or the town and there is little cover... So what should I do? If you were me, what would you do?
-"HEY! what are you doing here?" -"Smoking a cigarette!" -"And your friend who ran away?" -"He had to pee" -"At 3 a.m. in an abandoned hospital parking lot?" -"mmmm yep!" |

| | | Go for the roof. If you can't find a pipe or something going up the side to climb up, I'd use some rope and a grappling hook (or the equivalent). If that's not something you feel like doing, than you could go for the window, but you might break it and that's just no good. Just my $.02 though...

| | | I agree with the roof idea too. I know some places they don't lock the doors on the roof(its a fire hazard to let people get stuck on the roof, or something). Also, if you have to unpin, unscrew, pick, butterfly, or "forcibly slife" eww the door open, you have more cover on the roof. And don't worry about getting up to the ladder, as there seems to be good texture on the building which you can probably climb. Maybe a tree? I know that a grapple would work there (but they can be loud). You might even be able to just toss a weighted line over it and pull a rope over it/the railing.

| | | Follow the red man...
On something like this... have you tried for permission? There doesn't seem like a lot of cover. If this isn't the kind of place where you could ask for permission (and DON'T post what this place is), follow the red man. This seems like it may be a security issue that may not be good for the public forums though...?

Using a crowbar to break in will only makes things alot worse if you get caught. don't break shit to get in to a location, especially if it has no cover like this one.

| | | * Did ya make it in? Did redman lead you astray? * Always try before you pry. * If you must pry and are too sissy to stick around - open the place up, 'poor man's lock' it, and see if anyone notices over the next week or 2. * If you are going to pry - go for the roof. You have better concealment there while doing your dirty business.

| | | Roof it. I would put climbing that at the "piece of cake" difficulty level. Crawling into windows looks REALLY bad, but getting caught on the side of the building says "curious" more than "B&E"
