| | | Baltimore exploring suggestions < on 5/17/2006 8:27 AM >
| | | I just moved to howard county/baltimore area after living in pg county maryland for awhile. I've only been exploring for maybe a year; I've been to glenn dale, nrl satellites, normal institute(remains), Oceanic research building, Chestnut lodge and I don't know of many places in Baltimore. I've already seen the remains of hell house and henryton, I'm heading up to Montebello state soon, but are their any other places that i should check out. One particular site has got me really interested, i believe its called fuller state hospital/patuxent school and hospital and at first i thought it was in maryland, but now i come to suspect its in the new england area. If anyone wants to help me out with either that would be awesome. I am a newbie and i know that you wont just give the information away, but just anything to help me get started around here. Thanks.

| | | There's this:
That building is now the Children's Museum down by the river; the railroad tunnel to the right is abandoned, and was blocked for a while, but I hear it's open again. Baltimore's also got some nice poo-flavored action if you have some hip-waders. edit: fixed img tags, spelling [last edit 5/25/2006 3:35 AM by HillbillyHorus - edited 2 times]

| | | What about springfield or spring grove?....i heard they are both partially still in use and they are really close so i could hit them both or at least scout them in one night. Are they worth it?

Hmmm... Thanks for pointing this out! You saved me the effort of doing a Google search on the terms ["Chlidren's Museum" and Baltimore] to find out for myself. When I saw the abandoned RR tunnel, I got all excited at the idea of such a thing in Baltimore, and now you tell me it is in Lynchburg! Oh well!
with care, --Vinny |
