| | | *cough* Perhaps an introduction is in order? G'eve, fellows and comrades, I am Panda-chan. Eighteen, 5'11", lithe and athletic. I'm a martial artist, a traceur (a parkour athlete), gymnast, and student. I'm graduating this year and attending the University of Washington for my next four at the least. On to more baser facts, however, I'm new to UE but quick to learn and quicker to climb and explore. I move slower with UE than PK 'cause I gotta be safe and I am very up on the ethics of UE. Ah, yes, I'm a Seattle boy with a vested interest in tunnels, high places, and underground compounds. I'm up on my shots and wondering what gear I should get and where I oughta get it. Please to make the acquaintance, and I like who I've met thus far.

| | | http://www.tacomascrew.com/default.htm They have masks, filters, harnesses, tools of every kind, flashlights, gloves, clothing... anyway their local store is a bit limited but they can get anything transferred from another store. Then again my employer purchases so much from them our discount is substantial. Your mileage may very. Try the search button on the left for the type of gear your looking for. It has ALL been discussed over and over again.

Every time I go exploring, I learn something and change my supplies. When I explored the tunnels on my campus, I learned that a flashlight gets in the way of crawling and climbing. On the drive home from the meet last week, I had to drive bare foot, because I got a lot of water in my shoes, so my next set of supplies will definitely include a spare pair of socks and shoes or water proof shoes. If you're going into tunnels, bring three flashlights. You're screwed if your only light breaks down. Use a headlamp as the main light. Being able to use both hands is nice. Your spare/loaner lights should be LED. A single drop often kills a regular light bulb, especially if its turned on at the time. -Cellphone -Pocket knife -First Aid kit w/ antiseptic -Respirator with P100 rated filters. N95 type isn't going to cut it. -Camera Nice to have: -Periscope to look outside the lid before you pop it open from inside

| | | Thanks, good knowledge to have at my side. Does anyone know if you can enable email notifications of whether or not people have responded to threads you are watching?

| | | I pay the $5 premium membership donation, and I set the watchwords to Washington, Seattle, and Vision. You could try that and set them for your name. Hey I just got 3 new privet messages!

| | | You could also turn on READSTATE OPTIONS in the special settings section of the basic information in your profile. I also use Advanced Scroll-To Read States, which takes me to the newest post.
