| | | I believe there's an Adelaide Branch of the Cave Clan (in case you didn't know, a huge draining group based in Australia), so you must have some neat drains there. If you don't want to join them, I've heard that they'll sell you a list of the drains.

| | | Why is this under the Tutorial board? The World board would be much more useful...

| | | Hi, first post here. Just discovered this site today, linked to from a thread on jeepforum.com about people finding strange things/sites/people while out in the backblocks. http://www.jeepfor...hread.php?t=211618 I used to do loads of exploration around inner Sydney back in the mid 90s. The old power station in Rozelle (still there), the Colgate Factory in Balmain (long gone), some asbestos laden sites in Pyrmont (all gone), climbed the Glebe island bridge pylon right to it's dizzying top about 3 weeks after they joined the 2 sides. There used to be 2 really crazy sites in the inner west back then. One down near the tram stop opposite the fish market and wentworth park on the city side of Glebe, was some sort of laboratory that had been abandoned, some retards had got in there and smashed about half a ton of awesome pyrex flasks and stuff on the floor. Another spot was down the back of annandale there was an old council warehouse packed full of cool looking railway equipment, all too heavy for the morons to steal so it was fully intact. I just moved to Hornsby and discovered there is a huge quarry behind hornsby tafe that has been unused for years. I had a look from the outside the other day and this place is outrageously big. Gonna go down there soon for a look. the thought had never occurred to me that there would be others with my interests around, silly me. I have been a long time fan of www.abandoned-places.com which I am sure everyone around here is familiar with. I am not much interested in the draining stuff, more a fan of big industrial structures and especially of residential buildings in disrepair. Anyone in Sydney got any sites that think I should see, especially those with photographic value, let me know.

| | | coded, if you're asking where to start for a group, the best place (in my opinion) for any aussie is to contact the clan. You probably already have by now. if you're asking where to start exploring, just look! adelaide isn't the best city for exploring but if you keep you're eyes open you'll find something.

| | | I had to go back 3 pages to get to this thread. I was hoping there would be more active Australians out there. I posted in the rookies thread. I'm a rookie. Obviously. I started into this as a scene locator for rave meets. Then I decided I liked the buildings more than the raves. I'm at UNSW Sydney and looking to find more sites to explore. Oh, and no guys, I don't, and won't date you okay?!! So please do not ask as a slap in the face usually offends.

This is primarily a North American board, I'd suggest: http://www.google....+urban+exploration

Hahahahah get over yourself. We don't want to date you either - unless of course you dress like an anime character, have similar measurements and have pics of yourself splashing in sewerfresh water. In that case we'll pretty much all be down for tea and pink cookies. A slap in the face usually offends, what are you gonna do it we LIKE it. I'm excited by your name but you appear to have left the '69' off the end. Names like SexyAznGrrrlBabez0r4U69 always get me going. Here's a pic of me - feel free to print, roll and insert at your leisure:
