| | | I went to the site today and it was pretty sweet the front gate was open so I simply just drove in and parked way back in the field behind the main building. All and all I spent about an 2 hours there and it is worth the trip if your closed to the area. But watch out for the owls that live in the main building they really dont want you near there nest and will defend it with all they got (Im not joking these owls mean business) I will post some pictures and more info about it soon. | | | Today I went to the Portsmouth TCC and took lots of pictures of the base. That is a real good display of nature taking over.

| | | Its a very old military base with allot of the buildings and all of the roads still intact. I would be willing to take anyone out there and show them around. There is no security on the site. I have been going out there for a very long time and its allot of fun. I will post all about it in the UE DB as soon as I become a full member.

I drove by there last weekend scouting. Is this the building you can see WAYYY back off the road? I wanted to check it out back when all the buildings near the road were still there but never got to. Didn't stop, but the sign at the gate made it out to be owned by the City now. The lone building near the front has "Police" on the door.
The pics from Portsmouth TCC.. is that the one they call "Harvard on the James" or something like that? Has the truck driving course to the left side of campus as you drive in.

| | | Thanks for the info. I'm looking at satellite pics and believe I see that round building you posted. A friend and I used to go back there often, driving on that course and flying kites. I don't remember that road that goes back to the base. I notice theres more buildings on down that road towards the water. What is the likelihood of getting in trouble? Gates or signs up? I'd appreciate any tips or info.
