| | | ok, i was just wandering does anybody have any pictures or trip logs of this old cave system? i did a search on google and coudnt find a thing. ive also launched many attempts myself at finding this old system, including sliding through a pipe less than 12 inches in diameter for about 30 feet. and have found nothing more than remains of the cave. so if anybody here has any links r pics or any info about the system please share it.

| | | Damnit! Quit talking about the quarry, now everyone will want to go and destroy it for the rest of us. I heard a rumor that the grainbelt tunnels connected the quarry to Banholzer back in the old days. I bet it's past that one bricked off section. Maybe we could dig around the sandstone.......

| | | The bricked-off section goes the wrong direction, away from the river; you want to dig around/under/thru the cinderblock part further in. Just don't do it now, the bats are probably sleeping...

| | | We could avoid the bats if we used the old river tunnel and angle off to the right from there. Then dig a chatiere paris style to connect at the other side of the cinderblock and go left into the caves.

| | | Did somebody say dig a C H A T I è R E ??? Where? What? I'm in!! More realistically, it would be interesting if somebody did dig around the wall at the end of the tunnel up that pipe. I remember going through that pipe, but also remember the disappointment at the end of the tunnel.
I want to be different. But I want to be different just like everybody else, because if I really were different, everybody would think I was crazy and weird. Iowa is Minnesota's bitch. There's an art to pooping. |

| | | A quarry is a place where they took rocks out of the ground, usually because the rocks had some stuff in them that the people wanted.

I can guarantee it doesn't lead to the sewers. A few years ago before it was bricked off, we got past that part. There's a couple of really tight squeezes after that, then a dropshaft you'd need rope to get down. After that, well, I can't ruin the surprise. But I can say the more people you bring, the more fun it will be. Good luck.
