| | | I'll take a shot < on 9/20/2005 9:22 PM >
| | | Well, lately ive been trying to shoot a little more on the 'artsy' side, so tell me if you like any of them. Most are from the Henryton center, nothing you havent seen before.
I took another version of this shot with the focus on the glass here: http://static.flickr.com/29/45117267_e2baef99d9_o.jpg, im not sure which version i like best.
^ I wish that one was a little clearer

| | | For pic 2, definately go with the glass in focus. Actually, if you get the chance to do that again with an even narrower depth of field, I'd say go for it, then try it out in black and white. You should get some fun highlights from the glass, plus the soft light in the deep background. Also, for the first one, try inverting it so the lettering is backwards as well as upside down. I don't know if it'll be cool or not, but it would be worth a try. Lastly, I love the 'amplify' shot. Very nice. - Kel

| | | i especially like the through the glass shot, i think it looks better with the hall in focus and that thing in #4, it looks like a baseballbat handle attached to a mega-haevey-duty flashlight with steel reinforced bars. i think they still make those

| | | Wow, great shots! Like the others, I really like the through the glass shot. But, the first picture the 'exit' one, really caught my attention. Keep up the great pictures.

I was playing with it and it made some ringing noises when you pushed the little things on the sides, and this was a phone booth, so my best guess is some component of a phone.

Ding Ding Ding!!!(can't tell from the pic if it's 16mm or 35mm though, I've only ever used 35mm) It's a counter. You put the film under the rollers and turn the knob on the front. Sprockets will feed the film through and a dial counter keeps treck of the number of frames to go by. This is the first one I've seen that can do more then one film at the same time though. -George(still great shots btw!)

| | | I definitely agree with Kelwyn about the second version of that glass/hallway shot. I think an unfocused foreground, if it encompasses a large portion of the frame, looks gross. That glass, with its little cracks and diamond-shaped lines has a really delicate look, that in combination with a background that's out-of-focus yet still easily recognizable can be really nice. I disagree with him on the depth of field though -- I think it works fine.
