| | | oh, common, I was being sarcastic, no, really I was. But you can aim the thing wherever you want, to read, to look forward, or place it somewhere else on your body.

| | | I want two hats like that! one to... just kidding man haha! Looks like it might make a good back up for close work in case you lose your main light or it fails. I had a big light crap out on me last weekend and all I had was a LED headlamp. Not much throw but I dont mind wearing my Princeton Tec 1 watt LED headlamp at all but it does attract more attention than a Sears ball cap.

Oh actually I meant the hat the original poster described. I kind of got the impression the LEDS on both sides would illuminate ones face while giving off light. I wasn't belittling either one, I just got the funny mental image of a glowing head floating down a corridor.

| | | That's great! I don't wear hats much either and I like the normal head lamp also but for goin' stealth in places where you might just stumble upon a dark place to check out, that hat is a great idea. I'm gettin' one to keep in my glove box. Thanks for the tip! (No pun intended)
I'm a blatant waste of time and resources. |

| | | I would probably have to make one of my own, because I would much rather wear a beanie then a hat. Beanies don't restrict my view, but they still cover my head. I will probably just stick to the normal flashlight... I like to keep things simple and cheap. (I say that as if $15 is expensive.)

| | | Just picked one up at Sears, $14.99!
I'd say it's well worth the money, it's bright enough to light up the area immediately around you or an average sized room. It's pretty comfy and I don't think the LEDs are too noticeable when they aren't on, I'll have to wait to see when I wear it out if people say anything to find out for sure. I can see this being very useful on a day to day basis in malls/schools/office buildings or other places that you might run across something interesting when you least expect it and not be prepared with a flashlight handy. The LEDs are in your field of view when turned on, but it's not terribly annoying, I imagine that the problem could be corrected pretty easily with some minor modifications. Definitely a good find! Thanks!
