| | | Having never broken or even sprained any bones or joints, It'd sound like I have no cool injuries to talk about. But I have one, one day some friends and I decided we wanted to go skate somewhere, but unfortunately it rained. Luckily the rained stopped after awhile and we were able to go to the park we wanted to skate. We get there and the things are still kinda wet, whatever, lets just skate. So we go ahead with our business and start skating a 6foot mini-ramp. at this time I wasnt very good at ramp skating so Id just drop in and do kick-turns and rocknrolls and such, but nothing serious. Then it started to rain again. Did we stop skating, no way! I drop in another time and before I know what happens im face down in the bottom of the ramp. Shortly after leaning in to drop in the board slipped out from under me, a result of the wetness and noobness, and in falling I hit my head quite hard against the ramp. After rolling around confused for a few moments trying to understand what the hell just happened, I staggered to my feet and turned to one my laughing friends. Who then ceased laughing and his face turned grim. I looked down and could see blood dripping down onto my chest. The now pouring rain was washing blood all down the left side of my body. Which was odd because I could hardly feel a thing. Somewhere in falling, my ear caught the head of a screw protruding from the ramp, and had torn straight through, almost side to side. HALF MY EAR WAS FLAPPING We later concluded that I must've hit my head pretty hard, because I couldnt understand what was happening at the time, or what my own phone number was, or how to use a cellphone.
