Abandoned motel that has been shut down and condemned by the fire marshal. Stories say that the owner was illegally renting to people while knowing the place was in the process of being shut down to turn a profit until the last possible moment. There were reports of people having been stabbed there, tons of drugs, etc. Given the state of the some of the rooms, it leads me to believe people truly were evicted at the last second like the stories claim.

Thank you! It turns out that this chain of motels is still operating in Florida (and perhaps other states). I'll try to dig deeper and see if they have any future plans for the property and will update the original post if I find anything interesting.
