I'm not much of a fan of abandoned hospitals.
But I needed to check this place out before the city could make it disappear.
This complex was massive, vertically, in a cubist-art-deco style, eight stories.
Most of everything was burnt and gutted, the building looked like a warzone, as every place in the city did.
My favorite spot in the hospital complex was the roof, a spaghetti-octopus-mash of vents, very out of place.
Viewing the tower I'd summit:
I didn't explore the rest of the mammoth building, which had been converted into a school at one point. I didn't have much time to spend out here, everything interesting had walked away a decade ago.
The tower had a fire-escape, missing every door; it was odd to be able to look out either end of the building in one hallway, so high up.
Anyway it was definitely a great spot to take pictures of the skyline from, I could see Zug Island, The Fisher Building, Lee Plaza, though there was a haze from recent wildfires that hadn't been here before.
