I made this trip last summer. These pictures are a bit older now. This is the old Conner Stamping Plant in Detroit. Someone recently filled it with tires.
I still don't know where all the tires came from.
The stamping-hall, 3 stories tall, very very big.
This tire somebody placed made a nice shot.
Ingersoll-Rand, still a company today.
Scrappers decimated that boiler room.
Buick Cadillac Oldsmobile.
Looks like some cutting didn't go as planned. The walkway was impaled.
The famous card room. You knew I was going to show it.
I don't really know why they had 2 tanks of compressed air. What did they need these for?
Surprised these turning vents still have a logo on them.

Thanks for sharing. I went there during the early Summer time this year as well. I remember remarking to my exploring partner, "If anyone has a tire fetish, they should come here!" We then played that guessing game of how they all got there, from who, when and so forth.
Then again, the same could be said for all those trading cards!
