Fortunately, soon after Scotiabank bought the naming rights to the Air Canada Centre, scaffolding was mounted around the facade giving me a way up to the roof. From there I was able to make my way down into the stadium itself through little hatches scattered around the squishy moonlike surface, eventually finding my way into the catwalks above the magnificent arena. Although it was super sketchy, I was able to clamber down onto the edge of the Jumbotron and find myself some beers in the Raptors’ Premium Suit. A few workers were doing various tasks here and there, but thankfully they didn’t take the time to look up.
This all happened last summer, and unfortunately that night they didn’t have wood or ice laid out on the floor. The bare rubber was a little underwhelming, so I made a return trip in December where I was lucky enough to get the golden glow of the Raptors' court.

Posted by goon1 Amazing shots! I always love seeing this level of roof topping on UER. I wish Atlanta had these kinds of roof topping opportunities.
Also, nice RHCP reference.
Haha, thanks for noticing! Yeah, what Toronto lacks in historical architecture, abandonment and general aesthetics is made up for in an endless series of cranes popping up all around the city. You guys have some cool rooftops down there though, right?
Posted by Dave Summer Absolutely amazing! Fantastic shots. I don't think I'm alone to say that I freeze up at those heights. Can't do it.
I find myself freezing more and more each day - thank you!
Posted by Aran Awesome! I really love the catwalk shots of the arena looking straight down.
Thanks, shots were terrible on the first go around but I thought they turned out pretty well on the second trip.

Posted by GutOfBrick Looks like the return trip was well worth it! Nice man
Totally was, my hand was kind've forced though. I ventured downtown with the plan of meeting up with some friends to climb a crane for sunrise, but they all slept through their alarms. And there I was, 4am with nothing to do. Thought I'd make the most of a shitty situation
Posted by terapr0 That's fucking wild! Good shit man, keep it coming!
Thank you sir!!
Posted by bleckfrog The lit up skyline is beautiful
Totally unique view of the city - I love the rooftops that line the train tracks!

Sort of. There's some potential but everything is nearly impossible and locked down. You really need a lot of connections or a lot of experience to get on top of anything in Downtown, Midtown, or Buckhead.
